1. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide

Email address (collected at waitlist sign-up or account creation), name (optional), financial goals and self-reported knowledge level, and payment information processed securely by Stripe. We never store card details on our servers.

b) Automatically Collected

Device type, operating system, and app version; usage data such as lessons started and completed, streaks, and levels reached; session data; IP address and approximate location; and advertising identifiers used by Google AdMob (free tier only).

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to record page views and specific on-site events — for example, when you complete the quiz or join the waitlist. The event data sent to Meta contains only non-identifying labels (such as “quiz completed”) and numeric quiz scores; it never includes your email address or other contact details. We explicitly disable the Pixel’s Automatic Advanced Matching feature, which means the Pixel does not scan form fields or send any hashed personal data to Meta on our behalf.

c) From Third Parties

Authentication data from third-party sign-in providers (e.g. Google, Apple) when you choose to sign in with those services.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To deliver and personalize your learning experience.
• To operate streaks, leaderboards, and gamification features.
• To process Plus subscription payments via Stripe.
• To send transactional and marketing emails via Klaviyo (unsubscribe anytime).
• To analyze product performance via aggregated analytics.
• To serve relevant ads via Google AdMob (free tier only).
• To measure advertising campaign performance via the Meta Pixel (page views and non-identifying events only).
• To communicate updates, launch announcements, and support responses.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following trusted service providers, solely to the extent needed to operate our service:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Supabase — data storage and authentication
• Klaviyo — email marketing
• Google AdMob — advertising (free tier only)
• Mixpanel — analytics
• Meta (Facebook) — advertising attribution via the Meta Pixel (page views and non-identifying events; Automatic Advanced Matching disabled)

All providers are bound by confidentiality agreements. We may also disclose information if required by applicable law or valid legal process.

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected]. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

5. Children's Privacy

Edible Finance is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, opt out of marketing communications, and opt out of advertising data sharing. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].

7. Security

We implement industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies for functionality and analytics. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the service may be affected.

The Meta Pixel sets its own cookies to link your page visits to Meta’s ad infrastructure. We disable Automatic Advanced Matching, so the Pixel does not read or transmit form-field data. To opt out of Meta’s ad tracking entirely, visit Meta’s Ad Preferences or use a global opt-out via aboutads.info.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will communicate material changes to this Privacy Policy via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
